Published in the prestigious Journal of Food Engineering, the paper highlights how the Vortex Fluidic Device (VFD) enables scalable, energy-efficient production of functional food and nutraceutical ingredients. The study demonstrates successful scale-up of VFD processes—including algal oil encapsulation and enzymatic hydrolysis—showing improved reaction efficiency, reduced processing time, and more consistent product quality.
